ABOUT MY PRACTICE

A Life of Balance

I qualified as a 95 hour Children's Yoga Teacher in 2017 (through Yogabeez School) and have this year completed my 200 hour Adult Teacher Training with Mollie Morris at Grace and Presence Teacher Training. For 8 years I lived in London and now live in leafy Surrey with my husband, two children and Bella the cat.  I love to move, it gives me great pleasure and balance in my life. I meditate and use mindful practices in daily life and look at Yoga as vital to keeping balance in our busy modern lives. I see Yoga as a toolkit for dealing with stressful situations and as giving choices to help promote health and healing. I am an artist who works with painting, textiles and now using my entire body through yoga.

MY YOGA OFFERINGS

CHILDREN'S YOGA CLASS

Sunday Mornings

Held at the West End Sports Pavilion in West End. This session includes 45 minutes of imaginative yoga poses and games and then 15 minutes of mindful colouring-in. We warm up with improvised movement looking at different qualities such as fast and slow movements, hard and soft, flowing, solid etc. Lesson themes include special days of celebration, reading existing picture books and stories, taking an imaginary journey somewhere, making our own story using props and key words all to empower children with a sense of how their bodies naturally breathe and move.

ADULT MINDFUL VINYASA FLOW CLASS

Strength & Healing

This class provides a chance to check in with our bodies through the busy working week. Using calming sounds and guided meditations we begin the class. Then we gently begin to move our bodies building movement around key pathways. I often look at the pelvic floor as the foundation of our body life or provide words to invite breath into our yoga to maximise awareness of the spine as we move through a loving selection of asana to enrich and surround you during the class.
